Five dreary days in a row, which means lots of inside time. So, this Sunday morning -- all before noon...
In the oven:
Squash roasting away, soon to become a soup, combined with cardamom, cloves, truffle oil and chicken stock. I'll probably top with a goat cheese round and some garam masala to serve later. I have leftovers for tonight, and I like soups best the day or so after I make them, so this will be a Monday meal.
On the stovetop:
Cream, spiked with star anise, cinnamon, fennel seed, nutmeg and cloves, which has been dumped onto a mixture of bitter- and semi-sweet chocolate, which will be split between truffles and hot chocolate (mostly because I had a lot of cream that I needed to use this weekend):
On the living room table:
Scraps from the baby quilts and black, white and green fabrics for a new something or other.
And, best of all...off the needles and almost dry:
The Great-Granny Shawl, another version of the "Snakes and Ladders" shawl I made this summer, this time with Silk Garden Lite and size US8 needles. I soaked in wool wash but blocked very lightly to retain the texture...
Mom, did you want to send this to her, or do you want me to send it?
You can send it to her ... you did all the work. Let her know that Sam, Blake and I came up with the evil idea and kindly dumped the hard part on your plate. Bwah-hahahahahaha

Wow - a very productive Sunday. I love the bins for your sewing/quilting. I hadn't thought of that. It would definitely keep my mess under control. Might pick some up today. Thanks for the tip.
