This one is J Crew, a shop I normally refuse to patronize because they don't carry petites in their stores, rather they force we small people to order online based on measurements and hope it works out. And unlike my new favorite shoe stores, they charge for shipping. Anyway...I bought this one before I left Texas just too see what I thought. The amazing thing is that the jacket needed no work at all - not even sleeve shortening. It's almost, but not quite enough to make me re-think my boycott.
There you go. It's a bit flat because it's the end of the day, and also because I'm still trying to figure out how to style it. And really thinking that even shorter might be easier to deal with. Good thing I have an appointment at the end of March.
In the good news department: (1) I found my point-and-shoot camera, just in time to bring it to Michigan with me this weekend to take pictures of my nephew in his baby tux. (2) My TX house rented. For $150 less than I wanted, and I'll be taking a nearly $400 loss on my mortgage, but it's a two year(!) lease and I'll make it back up in taxes next year.
